Hi everyone!
A bit about me and how I ended up on this page!
I resigned from a 17 year career in the UK Police Force in January 2023 (aged 49 years old). This was a career unlike any other, and I can now be grateful for all of the experiences and connections it brought me over this time period, and the person I am today because of this career. However at the point of resigning I was burnt out mentally, had lost inspiration and motivation to get up to go to work and felt like what I was achieving was the bare minimum each shift. I felt like my soul was literally dying.
I joined the Emergency Services like many other Officers, to help people and make a difference. Sadly the systems made this virtually impossible and this is another story! So I started building a pathway out which at the time was setting up a property investment business.
Property is a passion, however I made a lot of mistakes (now called learning and development!) and trusted the wrong people in the education and investment process. I had to make some difficult decisions to cut some of my losses, and as you can imagine I lost my faith, enthusiasm and passion. That said, I still run the business and its definitely something I will go back into in the future, but on my terms and in what I truly love, which is taking something in need of sprucing up and bestowing my love of interior design onto it!
So there is a theme here - I love turning something in need of some TLC (Tender Loving Care!) into something beautiful. And delivering an excellent customer experience along the way.
I have been a proud and inspired member of Mindvalley for 5+ years, and when the Life Coach course presented itself (I believe through the divine intervention of the Universe) I knew this was my true path. I adore courses and I get very excited about new learning which can lead to me not finishing something before I jump into the next idea or challenge. I am proud to say that I have graduated as a certified life coach (which was not in any way difficult because of the content and value of the course, and the community in which to learn and apply it) and I am buzzing with excitement and impatience to get going and serve my future clients.
There are so many areas of life where a life coach is absolutely needed, and my vision and mission is to help women like myself, in midlife, wanting to change career and needing direction, guidance and above all support. I truly believe that work should be something you enjoy and love, and should be something you want to do until you want to stop (not counting down the days like many of my ex-colleagues until they could draw their pension assuming they make it to that date). I also passionately believe that work should be about service to others. My big hairy vision is to significantly contribute to charities across the world - empowering woman, bringing clean water to communities and protecting and conserving our beautiful planet Earth (her humans and ALL other living species (I LOVE animals).
So there we are, a small piece of my story! Thanks for reading!
